The Standing Committee of the National Assembly has just issued Resolution No. 1200/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Phu Yen province for the 2023-2025 period.
According to the resolution, the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Tuy Hoa city is as follows:
Merge the entire natural area of 3.58 km2 and population of 6,408 people of Binh Ngoc commune into Ward 1. After merging, Ward 1 has a natural area of 4.13 km2 and a population of 12,727 people.
Merge the entire natural area of 1.58 km2 and population of 9,486 people of Ward 6 into Ward 4. After merging, Ward 4 has a natural area of 2.16 km2 and a population of 21,693 people.
Adjust a part of the natural area of 0.089 km2, population size of 2,322 people of Ward 9 and the entire natural area of 1.47 km2, population size of 9,531 people of Ward 8 to merge into Ward 2. After the arrangement, Ward 2 has a natural area of 2.29 km2 and a population size of 22,902 people.
Adjust a part of the natural area of 0.055 km2, population size of 1,749 people of Ward 9 and the entire natural area of 0.30 km2, population size of 6,692 people of Ward 3 to merge into Ward 5. After the arrangement, Ward 5 has a natural area of 1.70 km2 and a population size of 22,101 people.
After adjustment according to regulations, Ward 9 has a natural area of 10.47 km2 and a population of 19,800 people.
After the arrangement, Tuy Hoa city has 12 commune-level administrative units, including 9 wards and 3 communes.
After rearranging commune-level administrative units, Phu Yen province has 9 district-level administrative units, including 6 districts, 2 towns and 1 city; 106 commune-level administrative units, including 82 communes, 18 wards and 6 towns.
This Resolution comes into force from November 1, 2024.
