On March 18, in Hanoi, the Truth National Political Publishing House coordinated with the Academy of Politics (Ministry of National Defense) and the Vietnam Coast Guard to organize a scientific workshop: "political and spiritual factors - The source of strength that made the great victory in the spring of 1975".
This is one of the activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
Concluding the Workshop, Major General, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Sy Loc - Director of the Academy of Politics - acknowledged that in the coming time, along with the process of modernizing the armed forces according to projects on adjusting the organization of the payroll and equipment strategy for the Army, especially building the Army in the direction of streamlining, compactness, strength, and advancing towards modernity, it is necessary to continue to innovate political and ideological education to ensure that the Army always maintains the nature of the working class, absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, the Party, the State and the people.
Continue to promote innovation, improve the quality of training, education, and training, focus on training to improve the ability to master new and modern weapons and equipment. Along with that, it is necessary to promote research and development of military arts science according to Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo.
At the same time, improve the effectiveness of Party and political work; improve the quality and promote the role of cadres, especially political cadres, political committees, and politicians; strengthen the close relationship between the army and the people;
Proactively fight against erroneous and hostile viewpoints, especially the plot to "deopolitize" our army by hostile forces to firmly protect the Party's ideological position, protect the regime, and contribute to building and firmly defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the new era, the era of the Vietnamese nation's rise.
Speaking at the workshop, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Trong Lam - Director, Editor-in-Chief of the Truth National Political Publishing House - affirmed that, on the basis of the aspiration for independence, freedom, and national unity of the entire nation, with the right, self-reliant, and correct resistance guidelines, our Party has mobilized the highest strength of the entire nation, including the material and political strength, spirit, and the traditional and steadfast patriotic strength of the country that has been a thousand years of civilization for the resistance war against American invasion.
At the same time, steadfastly raising the flag of national independence and socialism, with the view of loyal and pure international solidarity, our Party has effectively promoted national strength combined with the strength of the times.
The great victory in the Spring of 1975 is a symbol of the belief, will, and aspiration for independence, freedom, and national unity, a glorious end of a difficult and challenging historical period, opening a new era for the Vietnamese people - the era of independence, freedom, and the whole country moving towards socialism. This victory continues to be a fulcrum for the belief, will, and determination to win of the entire nation in the current context.
