Currently, Ha Giang province has 193 administrative units (DVHC) at commune level. The arrangement of the commune -level army is based on facilities such as the area, population, transportation, ethnicity, religion, beliefs, customs and practices, ensuring national defense, security, politics and many other factors.
According to the plan of arranging administrative units at the commune level of Ha Giang Provincial People's Committee, it is expected that after this local arrangement is 74 communes, reaching the reduction rate of 61.66%.
Mr. Phan Huy Ngoc - Chairman of Ha Giang People's Committee - suggested the relevant agencies continue to study and absorb the discussions of delegates, organize the comments of the people, complete the plan of organizing the communal army, ensuring close to reality and high feasibility.
Also according to the leader of Ha Giang province, the arrangement should consider the similar factors of history, culture, geography and development space.
