Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized this at the 80th Anniversary Ceremony and received the First Class Labor Medal from the National Political Publishing House Truth on December 1.
According to the National Assembly Chairman, after 80 years of construction and growth, the Truth National Political Publishing House has been increasingly developing, worthy of being a trusted address, a core theoretical and political book publishing agency of the Party and State; absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the People; united, creative, constantly innovating, and successfully completing all assigned tasks. The Publishing House always affirms its pioneering role on the ideological and theoretical front, contributing to protecting the Party's ideological foundation.
Through the Publishing House's publications, forums, seminars, scientific seminars and propaganda activities, the Publishing House has proactively oriented public opinion, defended the correctness, revolution and science of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's ideology, and fought to defeat plots of distorting and denying the Party's leadership role, undermining the great national unity bloc.
Regarding the Publishing House's tasks in the coming time, the National Assembly Chairman requested to continue to strongly innovate the editing, publishing and distributing of theoretical and political books, ensuring standards, science, modernity and spreading widely and deeply in theory, but at the same time, it must be close and easy to receive with readers.
According to the National Assembly Chairman, it is necessary to promote and elevate scientific research. It is necessary to identify this as a strategic pillar along with editing and publishing. Research must be closely linked to practical summaries, because practice is posing many new and complex theoretical problems, requiring timely, convincing and scientific solutions. The Publishing House's publications must directly contribute to the development of the Party's theories and building a sustainable ideological foundation for our country in the coming time.
Emphasizing the need to build the Publishing House to become a model of Party building and Party culture, the National Assembly Chairman requested cadres, party members, and workers of the Publishing House to have courage and a spirit of service; be steadfast, exemplary in their thoughts, words, and actions; know how to put the interests of the Party, the State, and the People first and foremost. Each page of the book must be an ideological fence, each work must be a theoretical fortress, convincing with knowledge, science, reason and truth.
The National Assembly Chairman also requested to promote comprehensive digital transformation, taking digital transformation as a driving force to create strong development steps. Gradually digitize, expand the space to receive knowledge to cadres, party members and people; apply new technology, artificial intelligence, big data to the editing - publishing - archiving - dissemination process. Developing multimedia publishing; building a digital library, a unified electronic bookcase throughout the Party, the entire political and social system.
Continue to pay attention to promoting the intelligence and practical experience of the staff, party members, and workers of the Publishing House; have policy mechanisms, practically care for the life of the staff and strengthen the facilities of the Publishing House.
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man affirmed that 80 years is a glorious journey and also the starting point for a new journey.
In the context of the country preparing to enter a new era of development, the National Assembly Chairman expressed his confidence that the collective leadership, cadres, party members and workers of the Publishing House will continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, innovation, creativity, dedication, and enthusiasm, excellently completing all assigned tasks, actively contributing to Party building, to the cause of building and firmly defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
