On October 10, the People's Council of Cao Bang province, term XVII, 2021-2026, held the 36th Session (special session) to review and decide on a number of important contents and elect additional positions as Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
The session was chaired by Mr. Be Thanh Tinh - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Ms. Ha Nhat Le - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.
The meeting was also attended by Mr. Quan Minh Cuong - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Le Hai Hoa - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and leaders of departments, branches, sectors, and organizations.
Before the meeting, the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council launched a fundraising campaign to support people to overcome the consequences of storms No. 10 and No. 11.
At the session, the Provincial People's Council dismissed a number of positions and elected Mr. Vu Dinh Quang - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; elected Mr. Be Dang Khoa - Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, to be appointed as a member of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
Delegates also discussed and voted to pass 7 important resolutions, including policies to support people working outside the payroll, change the purpose of forest use and amend regulations on land rental unit prices.
In his closing speech, Chairman of the People's Council of Be Thanh Tinh province requested the Provincial People's Committee to urgently implement the passed resolutions, ensuring effectiveness and compliance with regulations; at the same time, strengthen supervision, remove difficulties, contribute to the completion of the growth target for 2025 and celebrate the 14th National Party Congress.
Mr. Vu Dinh Quang, before being elected to the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Cao Bang province, had worked for a long time at the Department of Planning and Investment (old) of Cao Bang province; Secretary of the Thach An District Party Committee (old).
In April 2024, he was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cao Bang province. In June 2025, he joined the Standing Committee of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee and was now elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
