On the afternoon of December 11, after 40 working days, the 15th National Assembly closed the 10th Session to complete all the contents of the proposed program.
Speaking at the closing session, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that the National Assembly had reviewed, discussed and voted to pass 51 laws and 39 resolutions (including 8 resolutions on legal norms).
This is a very large volume of legislative acts, accounting for nearly 30% of the total number of laws and regulatory resolutions issued for the entire term. The laws and resolutions passed both promptly meet practical requirements and create a legal framework for the new period" - the National Assembly Chairman emphasized.
Along with legislative and supervisory work, the National Assembly Chairman said that the National Assembly has reviewed and decided on many strategic issues of great significance.
In particular, this session, the National Assembly has deeply and comprehensively summarized the work of the 2021 - 2026 term of agencies in the state apparatus; reviewed and decided on personnel work to ensure compliance with Party regulations and State laws.
At the same time, the National Assembly carefully discussed the draft Documents submitted to the 14th National Party Congress, contributing intelligence, enthusiasm, and giving advice to the country's development towards the goal of 2030, when our Party celebrates 100 years of its founding, becoming a developing country with modern industry and high average income; in 2045, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, becoming a developed country with high income.
The National Assembly Chairman also expressed his gratitude to the National Assembly deputies, the National Assembly agencies, and the National Assembly Delegations for their active contributions, dedication, and use of every minute to discuss and debate frankly and deeply; listen to and concern the concerns and aspirations of the people as well as the hot issues of practice to reflect and propose practical and fundamental solutions, put the interests of the people at the center of all decisions, promptly remove obstacles and difficulties.
"There are times when there is a lot of content, it is difficult, there is no precedent, documents are sent slowly, and time is urgent, but National Assembly deputies are ready to share and sympathize. I hope that that spirit will continue to be strongly promoted, no matter the position, the delegates always accompany the development of the country - National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized.
After this session, the National Assembly requested the Government, ministries, branches and localities to urgently and synchronously implement the laws and resolutions passed by the National Assembly, determined to successfully implement growth targets and socio-economic development goals and tasks, ensuring national defense, security and foreign affairs in the 2026 - 2030 period; better care for people's lives, especially in areas heavily damaged by natural disasters and floods, the National Assembly Chairman noted.
According to the National Assembly Chairman, the tasks and requirements of the country in the new development period require the entire Party, people and army to promote the highest patriotic spirit, development aspirations and strength of the people and the great national unity bloc; strongly innovate thinking; synchronously and effectively implement strategic decisions.
"The National Assembly, the agencies of the National Assembly, and the National Assembly deputies strive, make efforts, and be more determined, dare to speak, dare to do, dare to take responsibility for the people and the country, making an important contribution to bringing our country into a new era - the era of national growth, for a rich, prosperous, civilized, and happy Vietnam," the National Assembly Chairman added.
