Localities in Son La province are proactively implementing conditions and piloting the commune-level local government model to promptly learn from experience, adjust and supplement, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted operations when officially put into operation from July 1, 2025.
According to the plan, from tomorrow (June 24), all 75 communes and wards of Son La will conduct a trial operation of the new commune-level local government activities. Thereby, it will evaluate, learn from experience, and identify difficulties and problems in the organization and operation of the commune-level political system after the reorganization.
According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, in recent days, Son La province has established working groups to go to the grassroots to check the implementation progress, prepare to operate the new commune government according to the 2-level local government model, ensuring compliance with the roadmap and direction of the Central Government.
In Muong La district (Son La province), from 16 communes and towns, it will be reorganized and streamlined to 5 communes. To ensure the operation of the new communes, Muong La district has proactively arranged plans to arrange headquarters, facilities, human resources, and pilot operating conditions for the new commune government model.
Mr. Nguyen Van Bac - Secretary of Muong La District Party Committee said that from the selection of successor personnel from the results reception department of communes, officers with experience in receiving administrative procedures. The Standing Committee of the District Party Committee has directed the review and ensuring that 100% of the volumes are connected to the Internet.
At the same time, organize training for secretaries, village chiefs, and youth unions to declare all administrative procedures at level 4, creating conditions for people to carry out all administrative procedures online, ensuring convenience for people when handling administrative procedures with State agencies.
"From overcoming difficulties in terrain, transportation... we pay special attention to the conditions for operating the new commune-level public administrative center, especially the application of information technology in operations" - Mr. Bac shared.
On the afternoon of June 23, Major General Dang Trong Cuong - Director of Son La Provincial Police led the provincial working delegation to inspect the preparation for the trial operation of the new commune governments in Van Ho district.
At the places where they visited, Major General Dang Trong Cuong and the working delegation of Son La province inspected the plan to arrange working headquarters, equipment, and public assets of the new communes.
Major General Dang Trong Cuong suggested that Van Ho district focus on ensuring conditions for organizing a conference to announce the province's decisions on ending the activities of the district-level party committee and establishing a commune-level party committee. Organize the announcement of decisions on personnel work and prepare well the conditions for commune-level administrative units after the arrangement and merger to operate stably, without interruption. At the same time, prepare to organize Party congresses at all levels for the 2025 - 2030 term.
It is known that the Party Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Son La Provincial Party Committee have also concluded the policy of ending the activities of 12 district-level Party Committees. At the same time, 75 communes and wards will be established and personnel for the Executive Committee, the positions of Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, the Party Committee's Inspection Commission will be established, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of 67 communes and 8 wards will be established.
