Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung has just signed Decision No. 445/QD-TTg establishing the Prime Minister's Task Force on planning and post-merger administrative institutions (the Task Force).
Accordingly, Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang is the Head of the Working Group.
The Deputy Head of the Task Force includes: Deputy Minister of Finance Tran Quoc Phuong (Standing Deputy Head); Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Truong Hai Long.
Members of the Working Group include: Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Hoang Hiep; Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tuong Van; Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong; Deputy Director, Academy of Strategy, Science and Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology Tran Minh Tan; Deputy Director of the Department of Planning - Finance, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Vu The Duc; Deputy Chief of Office of the Ministry of Public Security, Colonel Mai Xuan Thao; Deputy Director of the Department of Planning - Finance, Ministry of Health Phan Le Thu Hang; Deputy Director, Department of Criminal and Administrative Law, Ministry of Justice Le Thi Hoa; Deputy Director of the Operations Department, General Staff Department, Ministry of National Defense, Colonel Bui Yen Tinh; Deputy Director, Department of Financial Planning and Enterprise Management, Ministry of Industry and Trade Mai Thu Hien.
The working group secretary includes: Director of the Department of Local Government, Ministry of Home Affairs Phan Trung Tuan; Director of the Department of Planning Management, Ministry of Finance Nguyen Duc Canh.
The working group has the function of assisting the Prime Minister in researching, advising, directing, coordinating to solve important inter-sectoral tasks, and proposing solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles in planning and administrative institutions.
Task of the Task Force: Review and summarize difficulties and obstacles in implementing planning adjustments for the period 2021 - 2030 after the merger of administrative units and implementing laws on planning; review and summarize difficulties and obstacles in administrative institutions after the merger;
Advise and report to the Prime Minister to direct the resolution and removal of difficulties and obstacles related to planning and administrative institutions after mergers for contents under the authority of the Government and the Prime Minister.
Advising the Prime Minister to report to competent authorities to resolve and remove difficulties and obstacles related to planning and administrative institutions after mergers for contents exceeding the authority of the Prime Minister and perform other related tasks according to the assignment and direction of the Prime Minister.
