The Central Steering Committee on summarizing Resolution 18 has issued Plan No. 47 on the implementation of the arrangement and merger of provincial and commune-level administrative units and the organization of the two-level local government system.

The plan clearly states the contents and tasks of implementing the arrangement and merger of provincial and commune-level administrative units and building a two-level local government system. The expected completion time is mainly concentrated in 2025.

One of the related contents in Plan No. 47 is to rearrange and reorganize the inspection system.

The plan also clearly states the direction of the Government Party Committee to lead and direct the issuance of regulations and instructions for localities to reorganize the apparatus, functions, tasks, staffing, and civil servants of provincial-level inspectors.

According to this plan, before May 5, 2025, the Government Inspectorate will preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries and branches to submit to the National Assembly amendments and supplements to the Law on Inspection, including the content of reorganizing the inspection system.

The Government Inspectorate shall preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries and branches to issue guidelines on the end of district-level inspections; rearrange and reorganize provincial-level inspection organizations in accordance with the project to reorganize the inspection agency system to be streamlined, compact, strong, efficient, effective and efficient in sync with the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units. Completion time is before June 30, 2025.
