When merging the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs with the Ministry of Home Affairs, there will be an assessment and screening of civil servants, public employees and workers.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs' electronic information portal, on January 16, 2025, at the Ministry's headquarters, the Ministry of Home Affairs held a conference for cadres, civil servants, public employees and employees of the Ministry of Home Affairs in 2024.

At the Conference, cadres, civil servants and public employees listened to the Reports on the assessment and summary of the leadership, direction and work results in 2024 of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Report on the results of implementing democracy in the activities of the Ministry of Home Affairs in 2024, Report on the assessment and summary of the activities of the Ministry's Trade Union in implementing democracy at the grassroots level, Report on activities in 2024, and the 2025 work program of the People's Inspectorate.

Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra said that at the 2024 work summary meeting, the Government assessed the Ministry of Home Affairs as a leading exemplary pioneer among ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and agencies under the Government.

The Minister emphasized that with outstanding efforts, high spirit and responsibility, it can be said that in no other year has the Ministry of Home Affairs completed such a large volume of work with pressure requiring professional quality and high progress as in 2024.

The Minister requested all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the Ministry to prepare a strong mindset and constantly strive to complete many key tasks:

Strive to complete 100% of the tasks set out in the 2025 Work Program of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Each unit must develop an annual work plan, assigning specific tasks and personalizing responsibilities to each individual.

Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Tra emphasized that the particularly important task of the Ministry is to implement the merger of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Ministry of Home Affairs to ensure proactiveness, unity, consensus, democracy, publicity, transparency, solidarity and to do a good job in political and ideological work.

From there, the staff and civil servants of the Ministry after the merger can work with peace of mind, comply with and promote the core cultural values ​​of the two Ministries before the merger to compete together in innovation, creativity, dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility in performing tasks and public services.

When implementing the merger, there will be an assessment and screening of civil servants, public employees and workers according to the general spirit of the Politburo.

The Minister also emphasized the task of continuing to pay attention and focus on building the leadership team, especially strategic leadership of the units under and directly under the Ministry. Continue to train young cadres to create a source of leaders at all levels of the Ministry by 2025.

Implement Decree No. 179/2024/ND-CP of the Government on policies to attract and promote talented people to work in agencies, organizations and units of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the State, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations.
