According to VNA, future princess Victoria expressed her appreciation for the traditional friendship between the two countries and shared her deep impression of her visit to Vietnam in 2019, the Vietnamese people are very friendly, the culture and cuisine of Vietnam are wonderful.
The princess and the Queen hoped to visit Vietnam again soon to have time to visit and experience the countryside of Vietnam. Queen Victoria highly appreciated Vietnam's socio-economic development achievements.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sincerely thanked the Government and people of Sweden for their affection for the individuals and high-ranking delegations of Vietnam and respectfully conveyed the greetings of General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man to the Prince and wife, and invited the Prince to visit Vietnam in October on the occasion of the signing ceremony of the United Nations Convention on Cyber Security in Hanoi.
The Prime Minister affirmed that the Party, Government and people of Vietnam will never forget the sincere help and support that the Royal and People of Sweden have given to Vietnam in the struggle for national liberation and reunification in the 60s of the last century and then the two countries that established diplomatic relations in 1969 as well as the current process of building and developing the country.
The Prime Minister sincerely thanked Sweden for recently giving Vietnam a film directed by Bo Ohlen, recording the vibrant atmosphere in Stockholm on April 30, 1975 when Swedish people took to the streets to celebrate the victory of the Vietnamese people.
The two sides expressed their satisfaction with the positive developments in all fields, especially after the visit to Vietnam of the Prince and Mrs. Huynh in 2019. Accordingly, political and diplomatic relations have been constantly strengthened, including delegation exchanges, especially at high levels.
Regarding major orientations in the relationship between the two countries in the coming time, the Prime Minister suggested that the Royal Family and the Principess personally further promote delegation exchanges and contacts at all levels, especially at high levels; promote local cooperation and people-to-people exchanges, creating a favorable premise for expanding cooperation in other fields.
Appreciating the princess's contributions to global issues such as climate change, poverty reduction, child care, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh shared that Vietnam is aiming to develop into a high-income developed country by 2045, social security is guaranteed, people are prosperous, happy, children are healthy, and are comprehensively opened...
Knowing that the Prime Minister will participate in a business forum between Vietnam and Sweden during this visit, the Queen hopes that there will be many economic, trade and investment cooperation linkages between the two countries in the coming time and believes that there is still much potential for the two sides to develop further.
The two leaders agreed that the two countries need to strengthen cultural cooperation, organize events to exchange bands of the two countries to promote each other's cultures and enhance connections and people-to-people exchanges.
