The Government Inspectorate has issued a thematic inspection plan for works and projects with difficulties, problems, delays, prolonged backlogs, low efficiency, and risk of causing loss and waste.
At the Ministry of Construction alone, the Government Inspectorate will inspect 8 projects including:
Hanoi Urban Railway Construction Project (route No. 1); Hanoi Urban Railway Project, Cat Linh - Ha Dong route; Yen Vien - Pha Lai - Ha Long - Cai Lan Railway Project; VICEM Operation and Transaction Center Project;
The project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 6 from Tuan Giao - Lai Chau section (Km405+300 - Km501+000) in Dien Bien province; the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 9 from Cua Viet port to National Highway 1, using the surplus capital of the Vietnam Road Asset Management Project borrowed from the World Bank; Modernizing the railway transport operation center (OCC); The project to invest in the construction of the Bac Giang - Lang Son expressway section Km45+100 - Km108+500, combined with strengthening the road surface of National Highway 1, section Km1+800- Km106+500, Bac Giang province and Lang Son province under the form of a BOT contract.
Previously, at the thematic inspection of projects with difficulties and problems (held on July 22), Government Inspector General Doan Hong Phong directed the Departments under the Government Inspectorate to focus on completing the necessary procedures according to their functions and tasks to deploy inspection teams to ensure progress and quality according to the law.
In particular, it is noted that some contents show signs of violations and risks of causing loss and waste in approving investment policies; establishing, appraising, approving investment projects; selecting investors, negotiating, signing contracts; capital allocation, settlement of investment projects; land allocation, land lease, land use purpose change; determination of land prices, fulfillment of financial obligations on land...
Assess and clearly identify the causes of difficulties, problems, delays, prolonged backlogs, low efficiency, and risk of loss and waste.
According to the plan, the Government Inspectorate will issue Inspection Conclusions before September 25, 2025.
