On February 26, the Government Office announced that Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had just signed decisions to transfer and appoint a number of Deputy Ministers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In Decision No. 316/QD-TTg dated February 18, 2025, the Prime Minister appointed Mr. Le Anh Tuan - Deputy Head of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee - to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
In Decision No. 317/QD-TTg dated February 19, 2025, the Prime Minister appointed Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, former Deputy Head of the Central Commission for External Relations - to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
In Decision No. 320/QD-TTg dated February 19, 2025, the Prime Minister appointed Mr. Ngo Le Van - former Deputy Head of the Central Commission for External Relations - to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Previously, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had Deputy Ministers including: Permanent Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang, Deputy Minister Do Hung Viet and Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang.
Mr. Bui Thanh Son holds the position of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
According to Decree No. 28/2025/ND-CP of the Government, the organizational structure of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs consists of 25 units, effective from January 1, including:

On February 6, 2025, the National Assembly Standing Committee passed Resolution No. 1402/NQ-UBTVQH15 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on increasing the number of Deputy Ministers and Deputy Heads of ministerial-level agencies. In which, 1 Deputy Minister is added to make the total number of Deputy Ministers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs not exceed 7 people.
