The National Assembly Standing Committee will discuss reducing land rent

The National Assembly Standing Committee will give opinions on reducing land rent and the issuance of a Government Decree regulating the reduction of land rent in 2024.

The 43rd session of the National Assembly Standing Committee is scheduled to take place on March 10, 11 and 14, 2025.

According to the program, this session of the National Assembly Standing Committee will give opinions on a number of draft laws such as: Law on Personal Data Protection; Law on Emergency Situations; Law on Participating in United Nations peacekeeping forces; Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Product and Goods Quality; Law on Railway (amended).

At the same time, the National Assembly Standing Committee will also give opinions on the explanation, acceptance and revision of the draft: Law on Special Consumption Tax (amended) and Law on Corporate Income Tax (amended); Law on Management and Investment of State Capital in Enterprises

The draft Resolution explaining the regulations on the standard of "clean and strong party and mass organizations" in the Law on Emulation and Commendation will also be considered.

In addition, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave opinions on reducing land rent in 2024 and the issuance of a Government Decree regulating the reduction of land rent in 2024..

In addition, the National Assembly Standing Committee will give opinions on the summary of the 9th Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly; report on the National Assembly's petition work in February 2025.

Recently, the Government assigned the Minister of Finance, authorized by the Prime Minister, to sign on behalf of the Government a Government Submission to the National Assembly Standing Committee on seeking opinions on reducing land rent in 2024 and issuing a Government Decree regulating the reduction of land rent in 2024.

Previously, when collecting comments on the Draft Decree of the Government regulating the reduction of land rent in 2024, the Ministry of Finance proposed 2 options: Reducing 15% or reducing 30% of land rent payable in 2024 for land lessees.
