At a silver shop on Tran Nhan Tong Street (Hanoi), Mr. Chu Minh Tuan (Hoan Kiem Ward, Hanoi) said that he used to buy gold for storage, but recently the stores have sold in limited quantities, so he has switched to buying silver to buy more.

"The price of gold is now too high and it is difficult to buy, so I switched to silver to buy more. However, there are currently many people who want to buy silver. Today I bought 1kg and 10 taels, but the store said that I would have to wait until 5 months 2 years to have the goods, whether the customers bought a little or a lot, they would have to wait like that" - Mr. Tuan shared.

Similarly, Ms. Do Huong Anh (Dong Da ward, Hanoi) said she decided to buy 10 taels of silver to store for a long time.

"I chose silver because it suits my family's financial capacity and savings plan. There are quite a lot of buyers here, so I have to queue for quite a while. The store also announced that it would have to wait until February 2026 to receive enough goods" - Ms. Huong Anh said.

At the same time, the price of 999 999 coins (1 tael) at Phu Quy Jewelry Group was listed at 1.852 - 1.909 million VND/tael (buy - sell); down 9,000 VND/tael for buying and down 10,000 VND/tael for selling compared to yesterday morning.

The price of 999 taels of silver (1kg) at Phu Quy Jewelry Group was listed at 49,386 - 50,906 million VND/kg (buy - sell); down 240,000 VND/kg for buying and down 267,000 VND/kg for selling compared to yesterday morning.

On the world market, as of 10:40 a.m. on October 8 (Vietnam time), the world silver price was listed at 48.24 USD/ounce; down 0.29 USD compared to yesterday morning.
