Article 14, Decree 259/2026/ND-CP stipulating the recruitment, use and management of public employees (effective from July 1, 2026) stipulates the determination of successful candidates in the public employee recruitment exam as follows:
1. Candidates admitted in the civil servant recruitment exam must meet the following conditions:
a) Having a second round score of 50 points or higher;
b) Having results of round 2 scores plus priority points (if any) higher taken in order of scores from high to low within the recruited target range of each job position.
2. In case there are 2 or more people with the total score calculated according to the provisions of point b, clause 1 of this Article being equal in the final target of the job position to be recruited, the person with the second round score higher is the recruited person; if it is still not determined, the head of the agency or unit with recruitment authority decides the recruited person.
3. For job positions that are recruited jointly for many different civil servant employers, the determination of the recruited civil servant employer is carried out in the order of priority selection in the Application Form of the recruited person. In case the number of recruited people registering for recruitment to one civil servant employer is greater than the number of recruitment targets of that unit, priority is given to those with higher recruitment results. In case there are 02 or more people with equal recruitment results in the final target of that civil servant employer, they are selected in accordance with the priority order specified in Clause 2 of this Article.
4. People who are not selected in the civil servant recruitment exam are not allowed to reserve the recruitment results for subsequent recruitment exams.
Thus, from July 1, 2026, the determination of successful candidates in the civil servant recruitment exam will be carried out as above.
