Conditions for non-teachers to receive the Medal "For the Cause of Education

Article 10, Circular 07/2026/TT-BGDĐT detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Emulation and Commendation and Decree No. 152/2025/ND-CP stipulates as follows:

The Medal "For the Cause of Education" (hereinafter referred to as the Medal) is a form of commendation from the Ministry of Education and Training to be awarded once to individuals inside and outside the Education sector who have made many contributions to the cause of education and training.

Clause 2, Article 10, Circular 07/2026/TT-BGDĐT stipulates that individuals outside the Education sector meet one of the following criteria:

a) Individuals holding leadership and management positions for 05 years or more or individuals in charge of education and training work under the cultural and social affairs department of the commune-level People's Committee who have worked in the Education sector for 05 years or more; during that time, they have made many contributions in leading, directing, and performing tasks, contributing to the development of the Education sector;

b) Individuals who have made many contributions in participating in promulgating mechanisms, policies, organizing practical and effective activities for the development of the Education sector or building and supporting financial and material resources for the development of the Education sector, who are certified and proposed by the beneficiary unit;

c) Individuals who are overseas Vietnamese, Vietnamese who work for foreign organizations in Vietnam and foreigners who make positive contributions to building and developing Vietnam's education and training career, strengthening friendly relations and cooperation between Vietnam and countries and international organizations in education.

3. Individuals are awarded a Medal along with a bonus of 300,000 VND. For Vietnamese individuals residing abroad, foreign individuals who are awarded a Medal are entitled to receive in-kind gifts along with souvenirs of equivalent value of 300,000 VND.

Thus, people who are not teachers who want to receive the Medal "For the Cause of Education" need to meet the above conditions.
