The Lao Dong Newspaper Legal Consulting Office replied:

Clause 6, Article 36 of Decree 33/2023/ND-CP stipulates disciplinary action against part-time workers at the commune level as follows:

a) Election positions shall be subject to disciplinary action according to the provisions of the organizational charter for which the non-professional activist at the commune level is a member and of the competent management agency.

b) The Chairman of the People's Committee at the commune level has the authority to consider and decide on disciplinary action against part-time workers at the commune level who serve local authorities at the commune level.

c) The title of non-professional activist at the commune level assisting the Commander of the Commune-level Military Command shall comply with the provisions of the specialized military law.

d) The content, form, and disciplinary process for part-time workers at the commune level shall apply similarly to that for cadres and civil servants specified in this Decree.

As for the form of discipline, the form of salary reduction will not be applied.

Thus, if a part-time worker at the commune level is disciplined, his or her salary will not be reduced.
