Article 5 of Decree 176/2026/ND-CP (effective from July 7, 2026) stipulates preferential policies for lecturers, students, graduate students, research students, and management staff in the field of nuclear power, stipulating the level of preferential treatment for university students, graduate students and research students in specialties in the field of nuclear power abroad as follows:
1. Incentives for university students with commitments to nuclear power plants to work after graduation
a) Being issued 2 economy class round-trip air tickets during their studies to go and return to Vietnam;
b) Be granted passport fees, visa fees, airport fees, and travel expenses from the airport to the training place and vice versa for the return trip to and from Vietnam;
c) Being able to purchase minimum health insurance level prescribed by the host country applied generally to foreign citizens coming to study;
d) Being allocated monthly living expenses equal to 1.5 times the highest living expenses currently allocated to Vietnamese students studying abroad according to the training projects of the Vietnamese Government;
e) Be supported by the investor of the nuclear power plant with monthly living expenses according to the investor's decision of at least 300 USD/person;
e) Being accepted to work at a nuclear power plant after graduation as committed.
Thus, from July 7, 2026, university students majoring in the field of nuclear power abroad who commit to working at nuclear power plants after graduation will receive the above incentives.
