The Contest for Composition of Propaganda and Propaganda Paintings for the 13th National Youth Union Congress, term 2026 - 2031, after 2 months of launching, received 1,852 entries and responses from professional and amateur contestants from 32/34 provinces and cities nationwide.
The winning works have shown the stature and meaning of the 13th National Youth Union Congress, carrying the aspiration of Vietnamese youth: Self-reliance - Pioneering creativity - Aspiration to contribute - Mastering the future.
Artist Luong Xuan Doan - Chairman of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, Chairman of the Judging Council of the Final Round of the competition highly appreciates the works that won prizes this year because of the new, breakthrough painting language. "This is a good sign for the new era of new young people, of the new century, of the new era. We have high hopes for the upcoming transformation of young Vietnamese people" - artist Luong Xuan Doan shared.
Accordingly, the first prize winning work belonged to author Nguyen Duy Thanh (Phuc Loi ward, Hanoi) with the work "Resilience - Pioneering creativity - Aspiration to contribute - Mastering the future".
The work is developed according to the Trademark of the 13th Youth Union Congress with the main image being the dove - Symbol of peace, youthful aspirations. Bold strokes are drawn minimally and have the same thickness as the main strokes of the symbol.
The upward path of the bird's wings is also parallel to the upward paths of the symbol, forming a unified, complete whole. Subsidiary motifs are drawn with thinner strokes and technology graphics, creating a continuous relationship from the meaning of the symbol to the overall propaganda painting.
According to Comrade Nguyen Thai An - Member of the Standing Committee, Deputy Head of the Youth Union Affairs Committee, representative of the Organizing Committee of the contest, the contest "Composition of propaganda posters, propaganda for the 13th National Youth Union Congress" is a particularly important activity, contributing to creating an atmosphere of emulation, encouragement, and spreading the spirit of the Congress to a large number of union members, youth and people.
The contest is organized with the desire to mobilize the intelligence and creativity of all classes of people, especially the team of painters, artists, union members, and youth to participate in creating works with high ideological, artistic and propaganda value; thereby contributing to vividly conveying the message, theme, spirit and aspirations of the 13th National Youth Union Congress.
The results of the contest not only helped the Congress Organizing Committee select excellent works to serve the Congress's propaganda work, but more importantly, contributed to widely spreading the spirit, message and spirit of the 13th National Youth Union Congress to a large number of union members, youth and all classes of people.
Immediately after the award ceremony, the winning works (including 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes, 5 Consolation Prizes, 3 Creative Prizes and 1 Young Contestant with the Best Work) will be announced on mass media and digital platforms to further propagate the important political event of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union organization and of Vietnamese youth to a wide range of union members, youth and people across the country.
