On the evening of November 21, at Duyet Thi Duong Theater - Hue Imperial City, Hue Royal Traditional Arts Theater and the Korean Gyeonggi Traditional Music Association organized an art exchange with the theme "Hearing the Song of Harmony".
The program is within the framework of the 2024 Winter Hue Festival and celebrates the anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day on November 23.
Participating in the show, Korean artists brought impressive traditional art performances. Gyeong-seodo folk song; Daegeum and Daegeum Sanjo flute solo; Sarang-ga traditional dance, a dance that recreates a love story, taken from Korea's famous "Chunhyang ga", an intangible cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO. The audience also enjoyed Taepyeong-mu dance - the dance of peace. Taepyeong-mu dance is Korea's Special Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 92. Gyeonggi folk songs with gentle, cheerful melodies.
At the program, artists from the Hue Royal Traditional Arts Theatre also presented the audience with their most outstanding performances. These included a royal dance performance: The Lion Mother and the Lion Child; solo performance of the gourd trumpet “Cung Bang”; Hue singing performance “Tu Dai Canh”; and ensemble performance of the Little Music “Phu Luc Dich”.
The program brings to the audience special, unique and creative art performances. Thereby, it further promotes the image of the country, people and culture of Vietnam, Hue culture to Korean friends. This is also an opportunity for Vietnamese audiences to learn more about the culture of the land of Kim Chi.
