There are still nearly 2 months left until Tet, but Nguyen Quoc Ven - a worker at Tra Noc Industrial Park (Can Tho City) has started to prepare a schedule to return home to reunite with his family. Along with hoping for a high Tet bonus, the male worker is looking forward to caring activities from the Union at the unit and the city. Mr. Ven recounted that last year, the economic situation was difficult, income decreased, plus prices increased, but thanks to the Union's support, he received Tet gifts and participated in the Union Tet Market with many discounted items.
“This year, I hope the Trade Union Tet Market will continue to be held with more booths so that we can come and shop, reducing the cost pressure when Tet comes and Spring comes,” Mr. Ven shared.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Den - a worker at Tan Phu Thanh Industrial Park (Hau Giang province) - is still assured that she will not miss Tet because the company and the provincial Trade Union always have programs and policies to support workers.
“On holidays and Tet, we workers receive gifts from all levels of the Union, from fish sauce, cooking oil, instant noodles… to cash. Thanks to those gifts, my family can save a lot of money on Tet,” said Ms. Den.
Efforts to take care of the coming Tet holiday, Spring is coming
In order to effectively take care of union members and workers during the Lunar New Year 2025, the Hau Giang Provincial Federation of Labor has developed a plan to organize many practical activities. Accordingly, the Hau Giang Provincial Federation of Labor will organize the 2025 Tet with the theme of Tet Sum Vay - Spring of gratitude to the Party.
To have a Trade Union Tet Market in 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor will coordinate with the Provincial Department of Industry and Trade to organize it directly to provide essential, quality goods and services at preferential prices,... to both attract and support union members to shop at low prices. With the motto "All union members and workers have Tet", the Provincial Federation of Labor has requested all levels of trade unions in the area to review and grasp information of union members in difficult circumstances, promptly mobilize social funds to support gifts such as cash, goods, and give Union Shelters. Especially, support train and bus tickets, arrange vehicles to return home to celebrate Tet for workers working far away and unable to return home to celebrate Tet.
The representative of the Can Tho City Labor Federation said that the City Labor Union has issued a plan and is making efforts to prepare activities to care for union members and employees on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025. With the motto "Solidarity and unanimity so that all union members and employees have Tet", the City Labor Union at all levels will effectively organize practical activities to care for the material and spiritual needs of union members and employees; ensuring that all union members and employees have Tet... Accordingly, the subjects of care for Tet are all union members and employees; in which, priority is given to union members and employees in especially difficult circumstances, those who have had work accidents, occupational diseases, serious illnesses, those affected by natural disasters, fires, those who have had their working hours reduced, those who have lost their jobs, those who have owed wages...
The expected key care activities include: "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Dang" program, 2025 Trade Union Tet Market; Program to accompany union members and workers in difficult circumstances; Organizing meetings of union officials through the periods; Program to accompany enterprises and trade unions; Program to accompany social security work...
