On June 23, a representative of the Hue City Education Trade Union said that they had donated nearly 317 million VND to support Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Hue - a teacher at Binh Dien High School, a union member with a serious illness.
Ms. Hue currently resides in Thuy Duong ward, Huong Thuy town. Recently, she was hospitalized with cerebral overflow and cervical spine damage due to the sequelae of a traffic accident many years ago.
After a period of treatment, Ms. Hue had a cardiac arrest, fell into a deep coma, and had to undergo emergency surgery.
Despite timely intervention, the doctor said she had a brain extension and had only 40% hope of recovery, was still in a coma and was at risk of extravagance.
Ms. Hue's family situation is especially difficult, her husband works as a security guard and has to quit his job to take care of his wife, her three young children are of school age, and her house is under repair and needs to rent a room.
In that situation, the Binh Dien High School Union sent an open letter to the Hue City Education Union.
After the appeal period, nearly 317 million VND was given to the family, to help Ms. Hue have more treatment conditions and reduce some of her burden.
