The Quang Tri Provincial Civil Defense Command said that as of 11am on November 1, the rain was still widespread, with very heavy rain in some places, with a total of 10-50mm, and in some places over 100mm.
It is forecasted that from 10am to 10pm on November 1, there will continue to be moderate rain, heavy rain, some places will be very heavy 30-70mm, locally over 100mm. The water level on Gianh River is below alert level 1, Kien Giang River at Le Thuy rises slowly at alert level 2 to alert level 3, other rivers are at alert level 1 and below alert level 1.



To date, the whole province has recorded more than 124 flooded spots. More than 3,600 households had their houses flooded, 103 schools gave 28,513 students temporary school days, and 30 landslides. The evacuation work continues to be implemented, so far 505 households with 1,512 people have been evacuated in many areas that are deeply flooded and at risk of landslides.
Human losses have increased to 5 deaths and 4 injuries. Regarding agricultural production, more than 162 hectares of crops were affected.

Livestock recorded damage to 30 goats, 1 buffalo and about 1,200 poultry in some localities. Irrigation infrastructure was damaged over 1,000m of canals and about 9,000m of river banks; traffic recorded 32 damaged points, including landslides on national highways, provincial roads and inter-commune roads, and an additional 205m of damaged concrete roads.
Some overflowing underpasses and overflow bridges are still flooded and partially cut off. The domestic water supply system has a broken pipe, the affected length is about 50m. The education sector recorded additional items of school fences that collapsed due to strong currents.
The authorities maintained guards at vulnerable locations, barriers and warning signs in the area of overflow and landslides, instructing people not to go through areas with fast-flowing water.
The government reviews low-lying residential areas and prepares emergency evacuation plans if heavy rain continues. The dam system has been inspected, the irrigation reservoir capacity is about 91% of the design and is ensuring safe operation.
Central and provincial leaders continue to inspect the scene, hold online meetings to direct response and solutions. The authorities have increased the broadcast of flood warning information on loudspeakers, newspapers and social networks, advising people to proactively raise their assets, ensure electrical safety, reserve necessities and follow the instructions of local forces.
