Bac Ninh province aims to put Gia Binh International Airport and related routes into operation in 2026.
About 40 km from Hanoi, Gia Binh International Airport (Bac Ninh) started construction in December 2024 with a total area of nearly 1,900 hectares.
According to the plan, the airport will be basically completed and initially put into operation from the end of 2026 to serve the 2027 APEC Summit.
By 2050, the airport's capacity will reach about 50 million passengers/year and 2.5 million tons of cargo/year.
