Heavy rains also caused 7 houses to be severely damaged, completely collapsed, and beyond repair. Mo Vang Commune organized the evacuation and relocation of people and property from areas at high risk of landslides, flash floods, and flash floods of 22 households.

After inspecting and grasping the field situation in landslide areas in Mo Vang commune and working with Van Yen district, Chairman of Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee Tran Huy Tuan acknowledged and highly appreciated the local government's initiative in implementing "4 on-site" well.
Mr. Tran Huy Tuan suggested that in the immediate future, it is necessary to focus on directing the work of repairing traffic routes with landslides on the positive slopes with large volumes of soil and rocks; inspect, review and have warning plans to ensure safety for people and vehicles.
Focus on restoring affected and damaged agricultural areas, converting crop structures; promptly applying and implementing central and provincial support policies for agricultural and forestry production and building houses for people whose houses have completely collapsed, helping people to soon stabilize their lives.
Previously, the damage caused by storm No. 3 in Van Yen district had 10 deaths; 15 injuries; 58 houses completely collapsed; 93 houses were severely damaged; over 2,630 households had to evacuate from the danger zone; 847 hectares of rice were affected and damaged; over 174 hectares of industrial crops and fruit trees; of which 62 hectares of mulberry were flooded. Many traffic routes and public works such as schools, medical stations, electricity systems, and communications were severely damaged...
