On January 7, Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee informed that the unit had just issued a plan to deploy food safety assurance work during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year and the 2026 Spring Festival season.
According to the plan, the Provincial People's Committee will establish 3 inter-sectoral inspection teams on food safety chaired by the Departments of Health, Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Environment, conducting inspections in 12 communes and wards.
In localities, communes and wards will also establish inter-sectoral inspection teams on food safety to organize inspections in the area.
This activity aims to ensure food safety in the process of producing, processing, trading and using food; strengthen control, promptly prevent the situation of producing and trading fake and poor quality food; ensure food consumption in the market is safe; prevent and control food poisoning during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year and the 2026 Spring Festival season.
Thereby, minimizing food poisoning cases during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year and the 2026 Spring Festival season. Inter-sectoral inspection work is strengthened from the provincial to commune and ward levels, focusing on product groups that are consumed a lot during Tet and festivals, with high risk factors.
In addition, the Dak Lak Provincial Market Management Sub-Department will coordinate with relevant units to strengthen inspection and strictly handle cases of trading and transporting goods of unclear origin.
