The steep mountain pass is not yet completed
The Dao Nghia - Quang Khe route, the section passing through Kien Thanh commune, is always crowded with people and vehicles traveling and passing through every day.
It is worth mentioning that on this route, there is a pass road, a slope about 700m long that has not been fully invested in construction. A survey shows that this area has a large slope.
Currently, the road surface has seriously degraded with many potholes, the road surface has gravel. Many deep ditches appeared on both sides of this road section due to eroded rainwater, posing a potential risk of landslides and traffic accidents.
Ms. Thi Dai, in Bu Jah Rah village, Nghia Thang commune, Dak R'lap district, often travels on this route. According to Ms. Dai, on sunny days, the road surface is dry, and movement is still basically guaranteed.
However, every time it rains, the amount of rainwater from above flows down, creating strong currents; Ms. Thi Dai and many others have fallen. In particular, every harvest season, this road is often congested for a long time.
"This road section is several hundred meters long but both sides of the road are heavily damaged, with many deep holes that force vehicles to travel. Once, this road section was congested for nearly an hour," said Ms. Thi Dai.
Similarly, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Vinh, in village 8, Kien Thanh commune, suggested: "We travel here about 5-6 times/day. This is the rainy season, people hope the road will be fully invested in so that travel, transportation of goods and agricultural products will be convenient and safe".
Given the above reality, to temporarily fix dangerous locations, people have to re-pave with concrete. However, due to the unsustainable structure, vehicles passing through many foundations were peeled off in a short time.
Not yet constructed due to route adjustment
According to the People's Committee of Dak R'lap district, the unconstructed road section is located in the area that must adjust the route of the Dao Nghia - Quang Khe Road Project; recently, due to problems in site clearance, construction has not been completed.
Mr. Tran Cong Dung, Vice Chairman of Dak R'lap District People's Committee informed: "Up to now, the locality has identified 6 households that are subject to land acquisition for construction".
According to Mr. Dung, the authorities have drafted a plan to collect opinions on compensation, resettlement support and publicly post it at the headquarters of the People's Committee of Kien Thanh commune.
According to the plan, the Dak R'lap District People's Committee will consider signing a compensation plan for site clearance in the coming days.
The Dao Nghia - Quang Khe Road project has a total length of nearly 46km, connecting National Highway 14 from Kien Duc town, Dak R'lap district with National Highway 28 in Quang Khe commune, Dak Glong district.
Of which, phase 1 of the Dao Nghia - Quang Khe road project, over 20km long, was completed at the end of 2021 with a total investment of over 300 billion VND.
The nearly 26km long section and 3 bridges (phase 2) with a total investment of VND 830 billion are being implemented and are planned to be completed in 2025.
However, the project is currently facing many difficulties, especially in the site clearance stage. During the investigation process, determining the landowner and the origin of land use, there were many cases where there were no documents proving land use rights.
In addition, many plots of land have not been verified and have no owners. Some plots of land are being disputed, causing the project's site clearance to be delayed.
