Mother and child died while washing rice seeds

    Quang Binh - Authorities and residents found a mother and child in Minh Hoa district who died while washing rice seeds and planting seedlings for the crop.

    On the evening of January 4, the People's Committee of Minh Hoa commune (Minh Hoa district, Quang Binh province) announced that an incident had just occurred in the area, causing the death of a mother and child.

    According to initial information, at around 3:00 p.m. the same day, Ms. T (born in 1992) and her son H (born in 2013, in Tan Ly village, Minh Hoa commune) went down to Muc Mieu stream near their house to wash rice seeds and sow seedlings for the crop.

    By evening, but the mother and child had not returned, the victim's family went looking for them and found a pair of sandals and a basket of rice seeds on a rock near a stream.

    Upon receiving the news, local authorities mobilized forces and people to search. At around 7 p.m., the bodies of Ms. T and her child were found in deep water nearby.

    The family has taken the victim home to prepare for the funeral.
