Phu Tho - Dozens of households in the Hoa Binh reservoir area were urgently evacuated from the landslide area to ensure safety against storm No. 3.

On the evening of July 21, the People's Committee of Tien Phong commune informed that due to the prolonged heavy rain and high risk of landslides, the commune government has proactively reviewed and mobilized 28 households in Duong hamlet to urgently evacuate to a safe place. These are households living near the foot of the hill, with weak soil, and are vulnerable to landslides.

Ms. Ban Kim Quy - Chairman of Tien Phong Commune People's Committee said that some households were temporarily arranged to take turns in the school's solid classrooms, while the rest were arranged to be transferred to civil works to ensure safer safety in the area.

The local government also mobilized militia forces, commune police, and organizations to support people in moving their assets and stabilizing temporary housing.

"Currently, the commune continues to monitor weather developments, support necessities and ensure temporary living conditions for people," Ms. Quy informed.
