On the morning of March 12, functional forces of Khanh Hoa province are still urgently organizing the search for Mr. N.V.L (born in 1992, residing in Phu Hoi 3 village, Van Thang commune) who went missing in Van Phong Bay.
Previously, on March 9, Mr. L and 3 people residing in Dai Lanh and Van Thang communes went by boat numbered KH10440 to Hon Lon island to dig ornamental plants.
On the morning of March 11, the whole group boarded a boat to return to the mainland. When the boat moved for a few minutes, reaching the sea area between Co Co and Diep Son islands, Mr. L went to the stern of the boat to go to the toilet.
About 10 minutes later, not seeing Mr. L return, the people accompanying him checked and discovered that he had disappeared. Immediately, the boat returned to the suspected area to search but did not find the victim's whereabouts.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Team of Area 3 (Fire and Rescue Police Department of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police) mobilized forces and vehicles to the scene to coordinate the search; and at the same time coordinated with Dai Lanh Commune Police, Border Guard Station 378 and local authorities to organize the search for the victim.
According to functional forces, the search is facing many difficulties due to the complicated weather on Van Phong Bay, large waves, strong winds, affecting observation and access to suspicious areas.
Currently, the forces continue to expand the search scope, and at the same time call on people and vehicle owners operating in Van Phong Bay to support providing information if traces related to the victim are detected.
