On January 7, the Office of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee said that provincial leaders had just had a working session with departments, branches and localities on the implementation of the general urban planning of the inter-ward area of Bao Loc.
The adjacent wards in the Bao Loc area include: ward 1 Bao Loc, ward 2 Bao Loc, ward 3 Bao Loc and ward B'Lao.
The working delegation surveyed a number of key areas such as residential areas, expanded urban areas along Nam Phuong Lake (Bao Loc Ward 1); traffic infrastructure connecting to the Bao Loc - Lien Khuong expressway and the Nam Bao Loc bypass (B'Lao Ward).
These are identified as spaces that play an important role in the orientation of Bao Loc urban development in the coming time.
At the working session, leaders of departments and branches and representatives of 4 wards exchanged views on the needs of urban space development, functional sub-areas that need to be synchronously planned to meet socio-economic development requirements and improve the quality of life of people.
The area of 4 wards has an area of more than 370 km2, a population of about 21,000 people, is an important urbanization and economic center of Lam Dong province, with typical industries such as tea, coffee, mulberry silk.
According to Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai, in the coming time, when the two expressways Tan Phu - Bao Loc and Bao Loc - Lien Khuong are formed, the Bao Loc area will have more strong development momentum.
Therefore, the implementation of the inter-ward urban master plan is of particular importance, aiming to effectively promote existing advantages, creating a foundation for sustainable development of Bao Loc city in the period 2026 - 2030, vision to 2050.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 1 to urgently complete the procedures according to regulations; in the immediate future, organize the development of planning tasks and implement the next steps.
Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the People's Committees of wards to coordinate and provide complete dossiers and data on previously approved plans, creating favorable conditions for the implementation process. The Department of Construction is assigned the task of monitoring, guiding and promptly advising the Provincial People's Committee on handling arising contents.
According to Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, the general planning project for Bao Loc City (old) and its vicinity to 2040 was approved in June 2023.
However, the progress of implementing sub-area planning projects is still slow, only one project is being prepared to serve the resettlement of the expressway project.
Accelerating the general urban planning of inter-wards is expected to remove bottlenecks and create momentum for the development of Bao Loc urban area in the new period.
