Thanh Hoa - Floodwaters suddenly poured into Trung Ha commune, causing many villages to be cut off, houses, crops, and people's property to be severely damaged.

On September 29, the People's Committee of Trung Ha commune (Thanh Hoa) said that due to the impact of storm No. 10 (Bualoi), very heavy rain with strong winds from dawn caused water in rivers and streams to suddenly rise. In just a few hours, flash floods came, causing many residential areas to collapse, and people's properties to be swept away.

Many inter-commune and inter-village roads were deeply flooded and cut off. At Km130 National Highway 217, rocks and soil slid down, causing complete traffic congestion. Dozens of other landslides along the route also endangered people and vehicles. The road management unit has put up warning signs, barriers, traffic diversion, and is on duty 24/7.

According to a quick report, the whole commune had 32 hectares of rice and 11 hectares of crops flooded; 79 fish ponds with an output of about 12 tons were washed away. Two houses collapsed, 40 households suffered landslides. Some schools, infrastructure works, and clean water systems were severely damaged; 6 companies and enterprises were flooded, causing great damage to equipment and raw materials.

The leader of Trung Ha Commune People's Committee said that due to the flood rising too quickly, many villages were surrounded by water. The commune is mobilizing forces to stay close to the area, propagating people not to go out to the streets, not to go down to the stream to pick up firewood, and fish to ensure safety.
