On May 23, information from the People's Committee of Dien Bien province said that 91 people who retired early according to Decree 178/2024/ND-CP and Decree 67/2025/ND-CP of the Government (phase I, II) were supported with over 110 billion VND.
The former Head of the Propaganda Department and Director of the Muong Lay Town Political Center was supported with nearly 2.4 billion VND. Of which, the one-time pension subsidy is nearly 1.4 billion VND; more than 663 million VND in benefits for early retirement; more than 325 million VND in benefits for 20 years of social insurance (SI) contributions and benefits for more than 20 years of social insurance contributions.
The former Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment (old) was supported with more than 2.2 billion VND. Of which, the one-time pension subsidy is more than 1.36 billion VND; nearly 600 million VND in benefits for early retirement; nearly 290 million VND in benefits for 20 years of social insurance (SI) contributions and benefits for more than 20 years of social insurance contributions.
The lowest support recipient is more than 43 million VND from the Department of Transport, Vehicle and Driver Management (Department of Construction).
With 9 people quitting their jobs immediately according to Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP and Decree No. 67/2025/ND-CP (phase I, II) in 2025, the amount of money implemented in the regime and policies is over 7 billion VND.
A civil servant under the Department of Home Affairs received support of more than 1.246 billion VND. Of which, nearly 640 million VND is the severance allowance; the allowance for the working period with social insurance contributions is more than 608 million VND.
The Acting Secretary of Dien Bien Dong District Party Committee who retired early under Decree No. 177/2024/ND-CP received support of more than 490 million VND. Of which, nearly 160 million VND is the subsidy for early retirement; nearly 330 million VND is the subsidy for having paid social insurance (SI) for 20 years and the subsidy for more than 20 years of social insurance contributions.
