Quang Tri - After a long period of heavy rain, 7 landslides appeared on the Ho Chi Minh road, West branch.

On July 31, Huong Phung Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard) said that the recent flood caused 7 landslides on the Ho Chi Minh Western branch of the route.

In the Sa Mu Pass area, there are 3 areas of the overflowing culvert that are flooded, causing local isolation of Ma Lai pun, Phung Lam, Cheng - Ma Lai villages. Slight landslides also occurred at turbine No. 12 of Phong Nguyen Wind Power Plant (old Tan Thanh commune, now Lao Bao commune).

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Bang - Deputy Political Commissar of Huong Phung Border Guard Station said that heavy rain caused the amount of rock and soil on the hill to slide onto the road, endangering people and vehicles.

In that situation, Huong Phung Border Guard Station deployed duty groups, organized placing signs, and put up warning ropes, not allowing people to travel at dangerous points.

Currently, the area is still raining, working groups continue to stay in the area, ready to coordinate with the authorities to promptly receive feedback and support handling when situations arise.
