According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 8:00 am on April 6, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake recorded an upstream water level of 114.97m, lower than the normal water level by 5.03m. The water flow to the lake reached 50m3/s, currently no discharge has occurred.
In the Northwest region, Lai Chau, Ban Chat, Huoi Quang and Son La reservoirs maintain water levels below normal water levels, with water flow to the reservoirs fluctuating from 5-105m3/s. These reservoirs have not yet operated discharge through spillways and plants.
Notably, Hoa Binh Lake has a water inflow rate of 110m3/s and is generating electricity with a total discharge rate of 1,233m3/s through the plant, without opening deep or surface discharge gates. The upstream water level of the lake is 115.73m, lower than the normal water level by 1.27m.
Meanwhile, Thac Ba reservoir has a water flow to the reservoir of 57m3/s, is generating electricity with a total discharge flow of 68.35m3/s; the upstream water level reaches 52.98m, lower than the normal water level by 5.02m.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for April 6th, the Northern region will be sunny during the day, with hot sun in some places, especially the delta region will have hot sun, with intense hot sun in some places. The highest temperature is commonly 34 -36 degrees C, in some places above 36 degrees C; especially the Northwest region 35-37 degrees C, in some places above 38 degrees C.
The area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang city and the east of provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak will be hot, with intense heat in some places with the highest temperature commonly 35 - 37 degrees C, in some places above 39 degrees C.
The Southern region is sunny during the day, with hot sun in some places, especially the East has hot sun.
