According to the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Nghe An province, there has been an urgent announcement on the release of water from Nam Mo hydropower reservoir (Muong Xen commune).
The discharge flow on the morning of July 22 was about 140-500 m3/s and will change depending on the flow to the lake.
The expected time to end the discharge of water through the spillway until the water flow to the lake decreases to below 140 m3/s.
Since the afternoon of July 20, Khe Bo hydropower plant (Tam Quang commune) has been operating to regulate reservoir water, discharging from about 500 m3/s to 1,500 m3/s
Chi Khe Hydropower Plant (Con Cuong Commune) regulates the reservoir water with a total flow of about 506 m3/s to 1,600 m3/s.
Ban Ang hydropower reservoir, regulate, discharge from 200 m3/s to 500 m3/s.

By noon on July 22, Nghe An had light rain and light winds. The issue of concern is to prevent flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas, evacuate people from areas at risk of landslides, rockslides and riverside.
On the morning of July 22, the authorities of Tam Hop commune, Nghe An province evacuated 20 households from Xop Nam village to temporary housing at a secondary school in the area, in Tam Hop commune (old) to avoid landslides.
