Nghe An - With high determination, Nghe An province aims to complete the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses before July 31, 2025, 90 days ahead of the Central schedule.

On May 11, at the 4th meeting of the Central Steering Committee on implementing the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide, Nghe An bridge point acknowledged the spirit of urgency and determination of the entire political system.

The report at the meeting showed that Nghe An has so far completed 76.51% of the plan with 16,202 houses (11,642 newly built, 4,560 repaired) handed over to the people. The funding source to date has reached more than 967 billion VND, of which socialization contributed more than 220 billion VND - a testament to the strong spread of the spirit of mutual love.

Currently, the locality still has nearly 5,000 houses that need to be newly built and repaired. The province's goal is to complete all of these houses before July 31, 2025 - 90 days earlier than the Central Government's request. The province clearly identifies this as not only a social security program, but also a practical act of gratitude to the poor and meritorious people, especially in the time of transition to a two-level government model.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed: "We must definitely not let any people live in temporary or dilapidated houses. Whoever has merits contributes merits, whoever has assets contributes property". The head of the Government also emphasized the key role of localities and requested " speedyness, boldness, determination to fight, determination to win" to bring the program to the finish line on time.

In Nghe An, with the closeness of the provincial leaders, the sense of responsibility of cadres and the solidarity of the entire people, the belief that one day there will be no more temporary or dilapidated houses is gradually becoming a reality - a warm reality between the season of gratitude and integration.
