Supporting livelihoods for the poor
In recent years, poverty reduction and livelihood support for people in Dak Song district have achieved many outstanding results.
According to statistics, the whole district currently has 21,006 households with 85,551 people. The number of poor households in 2024 will be 398 (accounting for 1.89%), a decrease of 194 households compared to before, exceeding the plan set for 137% compared to 2023.
Implementing projects under the National Target Program, district officials have gone to the grassroots, living with people to grasp the current situation of poor and near-poor households, clearly identifying the main causes of poverty.
Since then, Dak Song district has effectively implemented programs, projects, and poverty reduction policies. In particular, the district government focuses on solutions to support production and donate seedlings and livestock to poor households.

To date, Dak Song district has supported pet breeds for 333 households. Of which, there are 122 poor households, 174 near-poor households and 37 newly escaped poverty households.
Commune officials guide people in developing production
In addition to supporting livelihoods, grassroots cadres in the commune are also a bridge, a source of spiritual encouragement for people to overcome difficulties and access policy capital to invest in production.

Mr. Dieu Hien shared: Our family has received support from the Dak Song District Military Command in many aspects. In particular, we are lucky to have both material and spiritual support, so the economy is increasingly stable."

In Dak Song, the 5+1 groups and groups are assigned to each other on holidays to closely follow and instruct on techniques for caring for crops and livestock to achieve economic efficiency.
Support work is also done with materials such as machinery, plant varieties, livestock, fertilizers, poultry feed, etc. instead of cash.
In particular, from the beginning of 2025 to now, Dak Song district has simultaneously implemented a program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households. During the launch days, 18 houses were donated with a total value of up to 1.1 billion VND.
The total capital allocated for the national target program on sustainable poverty reduction for the period 2021-2024 of Dak Song district is 28.5 billion VND.
To date, the district has disbursed 16.3 billion VND, reaching 57.2% of the plan; undisbursed 12.2 billion VND.
