Water flooded hundreds of households downstream of Ke Go lake

TRẦN TUẤN |

Ha Tinh - After Ke Go Lake increased its discharge, on the morning of November 1, the downstream area in Cam Due Commune was deeply flooded with many roads and hundreds of houses.

On the morning of November 1, Lao Dong Newspaper reporter noted that in Cam Due commune, National Highway 8C was flooded about 1m deep in many locations, completely cutting off traffic.

Heavy rain combined with Ke Go Lake increasing its overflow to 600m3/s from 6am the same day caused the water to continue to rise downstream.

Many households had their houses flooded with more than 1 meter of water. In this situation, people have proactively evacuated the elderly and children, and raised their assets and moved their cars to a high position on National Highway 8C to avoid flooding.
