Nghe An - Floodwaters from the Hieu River have risen, thousands of households in Thai Hoa ward are submerged in water.

On the afternoon of September 30, informing reporters, Mr. Ho Quy (residing at a house on Ly Thuong Kiet Street, Thai Hoa Commune, Nghe An Province) said that from 11pm on September 28, the water level of the Hieu River suddenly rose, causing widespread flooding.

"The water rose very quickly and very high, the road surface of National Highway 48 was flooded in some places over 2m, many households were flooded deeply, people were surprised and suffered great damage" - Mr. Ho Quy said.

According to information provided by local people, a large residential area with thousands of households along the Hieu River was submerged in water, many households had water rising to the roofs.

According to the representative of Thai Hoa Ward People's Committee, due to widespread flooding, rescue work is facing many difficulties, and damage statistics are continuing to be implemented.
