Khanh Hoa province will allocate 89,775 kg of rice to units to support students in the first semester of the 2024-2025 school year (from September 2024 to January 2025); each student will be supported with 15 kg of rice/month.
In Khanh Hoa province, 1,197 high school and middle school students will receive rice support this time. Of which, Khanh Son district has 245 students; Khanh Vinh has 549 students; Cam Lam has 1 student; Dien Khanh has 2 students; Nha Trang city has 1 student; Van Ninh has 397 students receiving rice support.
Currently, the Department of Education and Training is presiding over and coordinating with relevant units and People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to urgently organize the reception and handover to units to support students in accordance with regulations and in the shortest time.
Also in this school year, Khanh Hoa plans to spend 75 billion VND to support tuition fees for students at many levels.
Specifically, during the 9 months of the 2024-2025 school year, Khanh Hoa province will support 100% of tuition fees for preschool children, high school students, and continuing education students studying at public educational institutions in the province.
This support level is implemented according to the tuition fee collection level for the 2024 - 2025 school year. The first time is to support tuition fees for 4 months in 2024 and the second time is to support tuition fees for 5 months in 2025. The total cost of implementing this policy is more than 75 billion VND.
The issuance of the above policy aims to promptly share difficulties, support people, reduce the financial burden on parents and students, and minimize the situation of students dropping out of school when entering the new school year 2024 - 2025.
