On the morning of December 1, the People's Committee of Tuyen Lam commune (Quang Tri province) said that during the leveling process, a household in Tien Phong village discovered a bomb about 1m long, 40cm in diameter, suspected to be a 750-pound bomb, weighing about 340kg.
Immediately after receiving the information, the Commune Military Command coordinated with the Commune Police and the working group of Ra Mai Border Guard Station to approach the scene, make a record and organize a barrier to protect the area with explosives.
The force has reported to the Dong Le Defense Command of Area I to mobilize a professional working group to handle according to regulations.
Currently, the area is blocked off, ensuring safety for people waiting for specialized forces to collect and handle the bomb.
