Information from the People's Committee of Dong Van commune, on the morning of October 8, the welcome gate at the beginning of the road leading to the commune center collapsed due to landslides after prolonged heavy rain.
The incident did not cause any human casualties, but the entire Dong Van Commune Health Gate project completely collapsed, blocking the road. The authorities have barricaded and diverted traffic through this area to ensure safety.
The Dong Van commune welcome gate was inaugurated and put into use in early November 2024 with a total cost of over 1.5 billion VND. The project is 10.5m wide, 6.3m high, built from 740 stone blocks, nearly 18.5 m3 of wood and over 26,000 Yin-yang tiles, 100% from socialized sources. This project is considered one of the local tourist attractions to serve tourism.
