Therefore, in November 2024, the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province approved the Ha Tinh coastal road repair project (Provincial Road 547) with a budget of more than 22 billion VND taken from the local road and inland waterway system maintenance budget in 2024.
The project is invested by the Ha Tinh Province Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board.
After implementing investment procedures, organizing bidding, and selecting contractors, the winning bidding units are currently focusing on construction, speeding up the progress of this coastal road repair project.
At Km80+300 - Km81+150 in Ky Bac commune, East Sea Consulting and Construction Joint Stock Company is scraping the damaged road surface, providing crushed stone for cement reinforcement, cleaning the road surface, and watering the soy sauce before re-paving the 2 layers of asphalt concrete C19 and C16.
In the section of Cam Linh commune, Ha Tinh Road Construction Joint Stock Company No. 1 also scraped the damaged and degraded road surface concrete, then issued cement reinforced gravel and re-paved 2 layers of asphalt concrete.
Because the road surface is only 2 lanes wide, contractors have constructed one lane during the construction process, ensuring safety measures for vehicles to travel in the remaining lane.
As Lao Dong reported, the coastal road Xuan Hoi - Thach Khe - Vung Ang (also known as Provincial Road 547) was approved for upgrading by the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province in 2017 with a total length of 62km, with a total investment of 1,500 billion VND.

In October 2023, the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province sent a document to the Ministry of Transport requesting the conversion of the Ha Tinh coastal provincial road to the Ha Tinh coastal national highway.
The reason, according to the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province, the lack of maintenance funds puts some items of the coastal traffic infrastructure at risk of deterioration and damage, affecting traffic safety, exploitation capacity and road life.
To effectively manage, maintain, ensure smooth and safe traffic, maintain exploitation capacity and long life, the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province proposed to approve the conversion of the coastal route of Ha Tinh province to the Ha Tinh Coastal National Highway and entrust it to the Ha Tinh Department of Transport for management, maintenance and exploitation.
