On December 11, with 433/438 delegates participating in the vote, the National Assembly passed the Resolution of the National Assembly amending and supplementing a number of articles of Resolution 98 on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Ho Chi Minh City.

Apartment prices continue to heat up and concerns about real estate bubbles
CBRE Vietnam's apartment market research report said that in the fourth quarter of 2025, the average primary price (investor opening for sale) of the apartment segment in Ho Chi Minh City reached 90 million VND/m2, up 5% quarter-on-quarter and 21% over the same period last year. Not only did the primary price increase, but the secondary level (buyer and seller) also increased by about 18%, to an average of 64 million VND/m2.
The price increase has also spread to neighboring localities. In the last quarter, the opening price of many apartments in Binh Duong (before the merger) increased by about 10%, Dong Nai by 12%, and Long An (under Tay Ninh after the merger) by 45%. More than 700 households have not yet handed over the land for the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 2 project
On December 11, the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (Traffic Board) said that the construction of the two sections of Ring Road 2 will start from December 19.
Section 1 is more than 3.5 km long, from Phu Huu Bridge to Vo Nguyen Giap Avenue and Section 2 is nearly 2.5 km long, from Vo Nguyen Giap Avenue to Pham Van Dong.
The total investment of the two projects is nearly 13,900 billion VND, of which compensation and site clearance costs account for the majority; construction costs are only about 19%. See more...

Locations of 8 intersections along My Phuoc - Tan Van road will be built overpasses
Currently, Ho Chi Minh City agencies are coordinating with ministries and branches to carry out the next legal procedures to implement the investment project to complete the My Phuoc - Tan Van road under the BOT form, 64 km long. This project was previously implemented by the People's Council of Binh Duong province (formerly) in a resolution at the end of June 2025.

Temporarily detaining a woman who buried nearly 2,900 tons of illegal waste in Ho Chi Minh City
On December 11, the Investigation Police Agency of Ho Chi Minh City Police clarified the case of dumping, discharging, and burying waste in violation of environmental protection regulations at the vacant land at 5/4 Street, No. 11, Quarter 1, An Khanh Ward, with a total volume of nearly 2,900 tons.
