Ho Chi Minh City will relocate universities and hospitals from the inner city to reduce congestion
The Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee has just agreed on the policy of researching and developing a Project to relocate and expand higher education institutions, colleges, vocational training institutions and medical facilities out of the inner city according to a suitable roadmap, ensuring synchronization with the overall plan of Ho Chi Minh City.
At the same time, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee also agreed to study the Project on effectively exploiting available land resources, in accordance with planning to develop social housing in the area. See more...

Ho Chi Minh City has 34,712 houses along canals, 73.5% built without permits
Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just approved the report on the survey results of houses on and along rivers, canals, and ditches conducted by the Ho Chi Minh City Institute for Development Studies.
The results show that the whole city currently has about 34,712 houses located on and along rivers, canals, and ditches.
According to surveys, only about 1/4 of houses have valid construction permits, while up to 73.5% of houses are built without permits.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has assigned the Institute for Development Studies to hand over all survey data to the People's Committees of relevant wards and communes to serve the implementation of urban renovation and embellishment projects in the near future. See more...
Collecting opinions to build a 21-story apartment building in the center of Vung Tau
On February 27, Vung Tau Ward People's Committee (HCMC) organized a conference to collect people's opinions on the site planning of the OSC high-rise apartment project combined with commercial services, located on Xo Viet Nghe Tinh street.

Ho Chi Minh City's longest canal renovation project deserted after Tet, investor speaks out
Mr. Nguyen Van Bien - Deputy Head of the Investment Planning Department, Ho Chi Minh City Urban Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board (the investor) said that so far the overall project has reached about 65% of the construction volume.
