According to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, the road connecting Hung Nghiep Formosa Iron and Steel Complex with National Highway 12C, basically completed with a length of more than 3.7 km, has been asphalted flat with a road width of 60 m, looking very beautiful and convenient for traffic.
However, at the connection point with National Highway 12C (belonging to Tay Yen residential group, Vung Ang ward) with a length of about 100 m, construction is underway and then abandoned, causing many concrete and steel components to rust.
Because the connection section with National Highway 12C has not been constructed, many vehicles when passing through this location encounter difficulties and potential accidents.
On February 12, a leader of Vung Ang ward said that currently facing land issues with 12 households in Tay Yen residential group with rice fields at the connection point with National Highway 12C, the Road Project connecting Hung Nghiep Formosa Steel and Iron Complex with National Highway 12C cannot be completed and put into smooth operation.
Also according to this leader, previously there were problems with more than 30 households, but after propaganda and mobilization, many households agreed with the compensation and site clearance plan to recover land.
Currently, there are still 12 households that do not agree with compensation and land recovery, so the locality continues to strengthen propaganda and mobilization, and has also developed a plan to protect construction.
Representatives of the investor said that the road project connecting Hung Nghiep Formosa Iron and Steel Zone with National Highway 12C has a length of more than 3.7 km, a road surface width of 60 m, which was constructed in 2022, and should have been completed in 2023. However, the project has been entangled in site clearance for the section connecting to National Highway 12C for more than 2 years and has not been resolved.
The delay in site handover has affected the project progress and people's travel. Therefore, it is hoped that site clearance work will continue to be focused on to complete handover to contractors for construction deployment, complete the project and put it into operation, ensuring smooth and safe traffic.
