On May 25, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province said that it had sent a document to the Ministry of Health proposing the need to invest in building and upgrading the health station system in communes, wards, and special border areas in the area, with a total estimated cost of more than 209.9 billion VND.

According to the People's Committee of Lam Dong province, the locality currently has 5 land border communes including Quang Truc, Thuan Hanh, Thuan An, Dak Wil and Tuy Duc, bordering Mondulkiri province (Cambodia). The sea border area has Phu Quy Special Zone and 13 communes and wards.
Through actual review, many health stations in border areas have deteriorated, lack equipment and do not meet the health care requirements of people.
In the proposed list, the province proposes to build 9 new health stations including: Mui Ne, Phu Thuy, Tien Thanh, Dak Wil, Quang Truc, Tan Thanh, Thuan Hanh, Tuy Duc and Vinh Hao.
The locality proposed upgrading and renovating 7 health stations in Phan Thiet, Phan Ri Cua, Hoa Thang, Lien Huong, Thuan An, Son My and Phuoc Hoi.
According to the People's Committee of Lam Dong province, investing in upgrading the grassroots health system will contribute to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment, strengthening disease prevention capacity. From there, reduce pressure on upper-level hospitals and ensure social security in border areas.
