Great mental motivation
The State Bank Trade Union System Sports Festival with the participation of nearly 900 athletes who are union members and employees of 64 athlete delegations from the Central State Bank Trade Union and 63 State Bank branches in provinces and cities, participated in competitions in 5 events: Badminton, Table Tennis, Tennis, Pickleball and Tug of War.
Coming from Kon Tum, athlete Le Thi My Kieu expressed her excitement and eagerness to meet and interact with union members and workers from the State Bank Trade Union at different branches. After winning the tug of war, Ms. Kieu happily shared: “I feel very happy that the State Bank team in Kon Tum province won against the Vinh Phuc team. We came here to play sports and exchange, learn knowledge and experience to perform well in professional activities. Participating in the sports festival is a motivation for me and other union members to carry out the emulation movement of the industry well.”
Winning third prize in the women's doubles badminton event, athlete Vu Thi Thu Trang from the State Bank of Vietnam, Hung Yen branch, said: "The athletes competed honestly and seriously, demonstrating the noble spirit of sportsmanship. The sports festival is a playground for union members in the State Bank system from all three regions of the country to meet and exchange. Thereby, it encourages cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers to enthusiastically participate in training to improve their health."
Although he did not win any prizes at this sports festival, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Viet from the State Bank of Vietnam, Hai Duong branch, was still optimistic and cheerful. Mr. Viet hopes that more sports festivals will be held in the following years. "The sports festival contributes to continuing to foster the mass physical education and sports movement, both to improve health and to foster the spirit of teamwork at work" - Mr. Viet expressed.
Reflecting the power of solidarity
Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Dao Minh Tu said that the Vietnam Banking Trade Union organized a sports festival exclusively for the State Bank system. The sports festival is a big festival, honoring the spirit of solidarity, exchange and promoting the cultural and sports movement in the banking industry.
“With the spirit of “Healthy to build and protect the Fatherland”, “Healthy to build and develop the banking industry”, each football match and ball is a testament to the spirit of dedication and determination to overcome oneself, moving towards greater success. Sports activities are an opportunity for cadres, union members and workers to exercise, strengthen solidarity and cohesion between units, as well as promote the spirit of competition in healthy sports activities” - Deputy Governor of the State Bank Dao Minh Tu emphasized.
According to Ms. Nguyen Khanh Chi - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Banking Trade Union, with the participation of nearly 900 athletes from the Central State Bank Agency and 63 branches of the State Bank in provinces and cities nationwide, the sports festival has created a colorful playground, reflecting the strength of solidarity, determination and passion for sports of officers and union members of the banking industry.
“This is the first sports festival of the State Bank system organized on a national scale, a sports playground, as well as a cultural event, where officials, union members and workers in the industry have the opportunity to meet, share and be inspired. This is a journey not only to determine victory or defeat, but also a journey of camaraderie, of the will to overcome limits and the determination to contribute to the development of Vietnam Bank. The competitions have brought a vibrant, dramatic and fair competitive atmosphere. The bright smiles after each match, the congratulatory hugs or the drops of sweat after each effort - all will be memorable memories for each of us" - Ms. Nguyen Khanh Chi said.
